When it comes to 24-hour expedited PCB boards, many customers are familiar with it. Some people will say that 24-hour expedited PCB boards are nothing, and 8-hour expedited PCB boards are available! In fact, it can’t be done in 8 hours, unless there is a discount in some processes. Here, I’ll tell you how this 24-hour emergency board is made! First of all, let’s show you the production flow chart of conventional double panels.
Seeing so many processes, I’m sure you’ll see them all at once. Then Xiaobian will sort out the time required for the main production processes for you!
Production: 1.0 hours
Opening: 0.5 hours
Drilling: 1.0 hours
Copper deposition: 3.0 hours
Line exposure: 1.0 hours
Pattern plating: 2.5 hours
Line etching: 0.5 hours
AOI test: 0.5 hours
Solder resist ink: 2.0 hours
Screen printing: 2.0 hours
Surface treatment: 1.0 hours
Shape: 0.5 hours
Finished product test: 1.0 hours
FQC inspection: 0.5 hours
Packing: ignore
When all the above processes are added together, the time is 17 hours, which is very tight. If this time is to be compressed, it may require closer operation cooperation, and at the same time, it is necessary to sacrifice the time of some processes, such as copper deposition and electroplating, which will somewhat affect the quality. Secondly, in the solder resist ink and screen printing text, all production time is relatively fixed because high-temperature baking is required after printing!
17 hours to produce a model, this time must require all links to be arranged. Some manufacturers say that 8-hour shipment actually has certain preconditions. For example, the order must be placed before 9: 00 a.m. and shipped at night; Some require that orders must be placed before 5pm on the same day and shipped the next morning. Because the PCB factory usually has few new orders in the morning, and will arrange electroplating at noon and evening, so the order will be placed in the morning and rushed at night, and it will be made around 11 o’clock in the evening to catch up with the express delivery that night. The actual production time is about 14-15 hours. Eight hours is just a gimmick!
As for the multilayer board, how is it made in 24 hours? Generally, the 24-hour rush of this multi-layer board is limited to 4 or 6 layers. No matter how many layers there are, this time is basically not enough! Compared with the 2-layer board, the 4-and 6-layer board has more inner-layer circuit production and pressing technology. In fact, the inner-layer production won’t take too much time, and the time for making the 2-and 4-layer circuit is almost the same, mainly because pressing here will take 3-4 hours.
