SMT Reciprocating Bulk Feeder are feeding devices used for pick-and-place and insertion equipment. They use belt-driven reciprocating motion to transport bulk, unpackaged electronic components. Also known as recyclable bulk feeders, they use flat belt conveying instead of vibratory feeder climbing, solving the feeding bottleneck problem of irregularly shaped connectors where spiral disc tracks cannot be oriented.

Working Principle
Bulk components are loaded onto a motor-driven conveyor belt in this reciprocating bulk feeder. The belt advances components toward a direct linear vibration track, where an electromagnetic vibrator singulates them, one per cycle. A timed air nozzle (0.4-0.6 MPa) applies pneumatic pulses to break static friction and assist forward movement. A photoelectric sensor at the track exit detects component position and feeds data to the MCU, which adjusts belt speed and vibration amplitude to maintain consistent flow in this SMT reciprocating bulk feeder. Correctly oriented components arrive at the fixed pick window; misoriented parts are diverted via return chute back to the belt for recirculation,a key advantage over single-pass bulk feeders. Feeding speed: 0.5-2 sec/pcs (≥30 pcs/min).
