JUKI Label Feeder for Copper Shims & Mylar Sheets on PCBs
The SMT JUKI Label Feeder is a specialized tape feeder that mounts into standard JUKI pick-and-place machine feeder slots. It presents adhesive-backed copper shims and mylar sheets to the placement head instead of electronic components, allowing the machine to apply thermal pads, insulation spacers, and EMI shields automatically during the assembly cycle.
This SMT label feeder handles two distinct material families. Copper shims provide thermal conductivity, EMI shielding, and electrical grounding on PCB assemblies. Mylar sheets (polyester film) serve as electrical insulators, barrier layers, and protective spacers between conductive traces or components. Both materials are supplied on liner-backed rolls; the feeder peels the material from the liner and presents the exposed adhesive surface to the placement nozzle.
By integrating copper shim and mylar sheet application into the pick-and-place program, the JUKI label feeder eliminates manual placement stations and keeps the full assembly process on one machine line.
JUKI Label Feeder Key Features
| # | Feature | Benefit |
| 1 | Copper shim compatible | Places thermal conductivity pads and EMI grounding shims with ±0.3 mm accuracy |
| 2 | Mylar sheet compatible | Handles thin polyester film insulators without wrinkling or misalignment |
| 3 | Standard JUKI slot mount | Drops into any JUKI RS, KE, or FX series feeder slot — no machine modifications |
| 4 | Mechanical peel plate | Clean separation of thin metallic and film materials from liner; vacuum hold-down prevents drift |
| 5 | Programmable placement | Same coordinate programming as component placement — no additional software |
| 6 | Liner waste rewind | Spent liner rolls up automatically; keeps the line clean and reduces downtime |

What We Do for Your SMT Production Line?
You only need to provide component samples and machine model numbers. Based on your exact part dimensions, our engineers design custom feeder adapters and CNC-machine each rail from scratch. We strictly avoid off-the-shelf parts or generic sizes to ensure optimal orientation. Before leaving our Shenzhen factory, every unit undergoes a full operational test on a matching machine, and we provide a performance video so you can verify its functionality prior to delivery.
We provide dedicated rail adapters for all major SMT brands, including ASM SIPLACE, YAMAHA, FUJI, Panasonic, JUKI, and Samsung.
Tag and Tube Feeders: 4–7 weeks.
MOQ: 1 unit. We support single-unit testing on your production line before scaling to mass production.
We fabricate custom nozzles from ceramics, tungsten carbide, and rubber, precision-formed to match your specific part geometry while maintaining a feed failure rate below 0.5%. To streamline your procurement, feeders and nozzles are shipped together in a single package.
